One of my readers recently updated me after going through this post about how to run almost any service provider's internet on the awesome Palm Pixi Plus and hence on Palm Pre or Veer or any webOS phone

Here is what he says:

 to enter the apn manually, choose the preference option from operator name drop down tab in the dial mode. 

the real problem then is, if u even enter the manual settings, a pop displaying "writing failed" will appear as there is no record of AIRCEL carrier in the database of the phone.

so we'll have to edit or add our network to the database nd then reset the phone to achieve internet connection in AIRCEL. for more details abt database editing, visit http://forums.webosnation.com/palm-pre-pre-plus/211728-modifying-webos-carrier-network-settings.html

if reset, nd the phone isn't activated yet, we'll be stuck in the activation screen again nd will have to either by pass or use a vodafone or airtel or idea sim to activate.

once activated nd aircel sim is re inserted, the E symbol appears and data usage is enabled. HOPE THIS IS USEFUL!!!
