Hi Guys,

Was just so much busy with everything, didn't get time to update my blog, I just planned to lay out a new section, basically a category, for the things I am discovering with my new phone, Palm Pixi Plus. Yes it’s a AT&T branded phone, bought for Rs. 4900/- from dealsandyou.com (Rs. 5400 - Rs. 500 discount coupon), it comes with a 6 months seller/3rd party warranty, comes unlocked, and I am using it on my Vodafone India, along with data plans.

Though DealsAndYou.com took a lot of time (and persuasion...) to ship me my Pixi, the best part is, it was worth the wait! After I placed the order, I immediately learned (thanks to Google...)  that some users complained about the back cover peeling off, so on the same day I had ordered a silicone skin from Hong Kong, and screen protector from Brooklyn. The ironic part is both the accessories reached me first, rather than the phone itself. I am not going to do any of the Video Reviews or unboxing, as I have been toying around with it for almost 10 days now.

First Impression:

As soon as the courier arrived, I was thrilled to open the box, the box is nicely designed, minimal size (iPhone inspired), the box needs to be slid out from its plastic casing, which is printed with the AT&T info, and then after piercing the seal, lift the cover. OMG!... the phone lies there, beautiful and serene, so majestic, just as if I ordered an iPhone or any other 30k+ device. I removed the back cover (which is pretty complicated to do...), take out the battery, insert my SIM card, placed everything back, and bam! Switched it on!... by the time it boots up, I am just pulling the rest paraphernalia out of the box, there are the documentations, USB cable, Sexy Charger but no headphones, and I wasn't surprised because I have know this before I purchased.

The device by then is ON, and I go through the basic navigation and follow the small tut to understand how gestures work, anyway the light in the gesture area is amazing, and keypad, simply brilliant, oh, did I mention, since I had the silicone skin, I moved the device into it first, and then Switched It On....

..... STARTED EXPLORING....

Update: the post is continued here

Cheers!
