One of my blog readers reported that he was able to run BSNL 3G services on Palm Pixi, initially the phone would not set-up a data connection, he solved his activation problem using this this post here. now he says:

 I tried a 3G BSNL data + prepaid SIM on the PALM PIXI PLUS and found it working for calls. The E didn't show up tilll I navigated the contacts menu from the launcher on the left top of screen and enabled Data Roaming. Now  I could browse the internet, make and and receive calls on BSNL Mobile. Later I put a  standard  2G Cellone postpaid SIM (non data -  no E )  and it is also working.

PS: this means it will also work on MTNL, raise hope for IDEA 3G, AIRCEL and all other operators!
