hi,

Facebook comments were troubling me a lot, the result was not upto the mark, either the comment box would not load, or the comments would not load, the facebook would not find the URL accurate... it was difficult to implement and troubleshoot... all-in-all... it sucked.

Since I long time, I wanted to implement the disqus commenting system on my blog, but was hard time with two basic things, the design being the first, old comments on facebook being second. I finally resolved the design woes and replaced the facebook comment box with the disqus comment box, long back. The issue was importing the facebook comments for my website to disqus comment system. The process is easy once you understand what to do. I will give you short details...

  1. Import Facebook Comments for website into wordpress database: it was one of the ugliest task, until I stumbled upon this very plugin. It is called "SEO Facebook Comments". It will do, what we would have other wise done, by writing an open graph application for that. 60% done
  2. Synchronize the wordpress comment database with discuss: Once the comments are in the databases of your blog, it becomes a child play. This excellent guide here, will help you do just that. Mission Accomplished!...

Cheers Guys!

Hope this helps you out!
